Hi I do hope someone can shed some light on the error message below. I have
tried changing the Router MTU as has been suggested as a cause of this error
but it has not made any difference. The laptop has been used on another
broadband connection and it still will not send from Outlook Express.

Error Message:

this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: email.address@talktalk.net', Server:
'smtp.talktalk.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket
Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F"

Thanks
Grandad

Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant
layer of protection that eats up CPUs, slows down sending and receiving,
and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting
changes and has even been responsible for loss of messages. Your
up-to-date A/V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For
more, see:

Note that for some AV programs, it may be necessary to uninstall the
program and reinstall in Custom Mode and uncheck e-mail scanning when the
option arises.

Saving attachments to folder from public folder Outlook Hey there! I am currently working on a project that involves merging data from many into one Excel workbook for analysis. The csv files are sent to a public folder (outlook: \ Public Folders \ All Public Folders \ etc. . .) I thought the easiest way to do this would be to import the data straight from Outlook to the Excel file but after much painful testing I could not get it to main mailbox folders, not public and am unsure why. . . I have almost no experience with Outlook coding so any help is appreciated! This is the current code: If there is a instead of using a selection, that is fine too! Check Names Will Not Let Me Send Email Outlook Hello, I am trying to send an email. I have entered an email address in the to section that I do not want to save to my contacts file. Outlook will not let me send unless I do. This was not happening before last week when my computer crashed and was fixed. How do I get Outlook to let me send my email without saving the contact? My contacts files will become huge if I have to save the email address of every single person I write to. Please help. And thanks in advance.
