How to extract the content of Outlook Express dbx files into MO 20

I recently moved to Windows 7 platform and now am trying to copy the content
of my email boxes from older laptop, which were all exported from Outlook
Express in dbx format files.

My new computer runs without Outlook Express, so I try to import everything
into Microsoft Outlook 2007. So far I have tried to do the following: File - >
Import and Export - > Import from file - > Outlook Express 4.x, 5.x, 6.x.
However in the end I got warned by a message which said smth like "Records
cant be found for import". So, the question is what do I do in order to
extract the content of my older email boxes from dbx files into Microsoft
Outlook 2007?..

Did you originally have your messages in Outlook on the old PC?

Did you originally have your messages in Outlook on the old PC? If so,
look into moving the PST file over. Check with the Outlook forums for
help with that.

As for doing the import with the DBX files, make sure that you have ALL
of them including FOLDERS.DBX, that they are on the local hard drive AND
that they are not marked Read only.

You could also download/install Windows Live Mail (WLM) on Win7 and
import from Outlook Express. The current version of WLM cannot import
from office Outlook, but can export to it (choose export to Exchange).

In this kind of 'forum' (usenet) it is best to start your own
discussion and ask your question there while providing information for
the readers such as what you have done already and the specifics of your
software platform where relevant. This helps avoid the 'same only
different' red herring or wild goose.
