Outlook - Is it possible to unsend an email?

Asked By AccuShred_Dian on 17-Jun-08 09:03 AM
I am wondering if it is possible to delete an email after its sent, but
before it is read by the recipient?

I sent an email to the wrong client, and need to remove it before they read
it.

It is possible, but probably unlikely. If you open the email you wish to
recall and click on Actions, you have the option to recall it. Since the
recipient is outside your organization and/or may have already read the email
this may not work.

As far as i know it is not possible to delete it if it has left your SMTP
server unless you have web access to the mailbox and can log-in to delete it
before they read it

Hi AccuShred_Diane,

I think, only if you use Exchange Server:

Maybe it helps.
