Help! In addition to the slowness experienced by many of my users since an
upgrade from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007, theres yet another strange
phenomenon. When exiting the Outlook 2007 issue the outlook.exe process
hangs for at least 2 minutes before exiting from Task Manager. I have tried
disabling all add-ins, removing Windows Search Indexer, and we run Symantecs
Antivirus version 10.1.5.5 which does not seem to be the issue. We run
Windows XP SP2/Exchange 2007 and did not have this issue prior to upgrading
to Office 2007. PLEASE HELP!

Some common reasons why Outlook will not shut down completely when you click
either the X or Exit:
1. PDA synchronization software with your PDA in the cradle.
2. WinFax Pro (especially 10.02 in Outlook 2003) - contact their support
for an alleged fix.
3. Franklin-Covey Plan Plus!
4. COM Add-ins.
5. Mail reminder add-ins that keep a stub of Outlook open in the background
to check for new mail and fire reminders.
6. Anti-virus/firewall programs that are set to scan incoming and outgoing
mail.
7. Skype - get the latest version to correct.
8. Infuzer

I have the same problem. And I figure out that is the RSS checking
that hangs Outlook. When it does not completes it simply stays forever
in "Processing" state. Even if you cancel the processing the thread
does not ends and when you exit the application the main thread hangs
waiting for the RSS thread.
If you do NOT use RSS in Outlook then it is not the same problem.
I was not able to find a solution for this too. It does not happen
all the time, but when it does I have to manually terminate the
process in Task Manager.

Permanent problems with MS Outlook 2007 / 2003 since Feb 2010 Outlook Hi. Since the February 2010 I am experiencing permanent problems with MS Outlook 2007 - every 20-30 minutes it stops to work with message this program. Quit one of more programs, and then try again". When I tell "stops to work" I mean - Outlook program is actually running but it cannot do anything - nor receive emails, nor look emails or folders, so - it is completely nonoperational. The only way to "cure" it - close Outlook, wait 2-3 min (if not disappeared from memory kill it using TaskMgr), start Outlook
Problem seeing some characters when sending email to Outlook client Outlook Using VB6, I am sending an HTML email using SMTP. I am having a problem like a bullet point that looks like an arrow) thru email that is received in Outlook. The weird thing is some Outlook client can see the arrow fine, some can not. My Outlook 2003 used to be able to see the arrow ok, but now it does not. Some Outlook 2007 can see it ok, some cannot. I can see the arrow fine in Gmail. This

Trying to get my head around IMAP Outlook My ISP have recently moved their servers to Gmail and Hence IMAP seems to be me a few headaches though, not least of which is the following. I have configured Outlook 2007 (SP2) to save my sent mail in the "Sent" folder on the IMAP server, so items from both machines. This seems to work fine when composing new email from within Outlook itself, by clicking the "New" button on the toolbar. If, however, I decided to send another app, for example Word or Excel, using the Email button on the QAT (or Office Orb | Send | Email), the message gets saved in my local not even sure if this is an Outlook, Office or Windows issue (I am using Vista Ultimate SP2) but is this normal? If so, is there
