Outlook - Outlook 2003

Outlook 2003 stopped sending emails out. I can recieve reply, but not send a
new email.

What is your service pack level of Outlook?
What is your antivirus solution? Do you have mail integration enabled?
Who is your ISP?
Is this an Exchange, POP3, or IMAP account?
What is your firewall?
List everything that changed on your computer and your network since the
last time it worked.
Details please. :)
My hunch would be SMTP blocking by your ISP.

So what DOES happen when you click Send/Receive? If you get an error, post
it is exact and complete text.

Oh yeah, lots of details there. Being detailed, like showing the exact
error message, just gets in the way of providing detailed responses. This
is how you introduce your query to strangers who have no prior experience in

Problem seeing some characters when sending email to Outlook client Outlook Using VB6, I am sending an HTML email using SMTP. I am having a problem when sending some characters (like a bullet point that looks like an arrow) thru email that is received in Outlook. The weird thing is some Outlook client can see the arrow fine, some can not. My Outlook 2003 used to be able to see the arrow ok, but now it does not. Some Outlook 2007 can see it ok, some cannot. I can see the arrow fine in Gmail

What is the future of Outlook? Outlook I have been using Outlook for about ten years and so have a lot of data that I wish to preserve. But Microsoft seem to be abandoning Outlook (unless you use are a corporate user and have Exchange server). I am a private across a variety of devices is still important to me. This is not possible with outlook - unless you have Exchange. So my question is - do I abandon outlook amd move to Windows live mail (with its shortfalls compared to Outlook)?
