Asked By Jose-News

I have data in my calendar and contacts, also configured Gmail so I can
check my email. How can I rename the original file outlook.pst and relocate
it in a different hard drive (d:)?. How can I change the Microsoft
ActiveSync to reflect this changes?.

Thank you.

Jose

With Outlook completely closed, find the .pst file you use and move it to
your preferred location. Note the location.

Open Outlook and when it complains about the .pst file, point it to the new
location.

Activesync doesn't care where your .pst file is located.

I relocated this file and Outlook 2003 is redirected to the new location. It
works, thank you.

When synchronizing my phone with Outlook 2003 I got the message "Cannot
synchonize with the outlook profile you are using, because a differente
profile was previosly set up or the profile is password protected. Please
open Outlook using the appropiate profile. Support Code: 8503001f". So, I
closed Outlook and in Microsoft ActiveSync I deleted the smart phone (File,
Delete mobil device) and configured a new synchronization which is working
fine now.

I do not understand the "tried" to put it back. Either you moved it back to
the original folder or you did not. Which?

Bulletproof Exiting Outlook (and not crashing) Outlook In building an Outlook integration, I try to exit Outlook this way: Marshal.ReleaseComObject(objOutlook) objOutlook = Nothing Before I did this, sometimes this code would not execute, and Outlook would then get a bit messed up.
