Outlook - backup email and contacts

I am using Outlook 2007. I am preparing to do a clean install and backing up
all my data. I made a copy of my .pst file. Will that save my contacts as
well? Or, just email? I want to make sure I backup my contacts.

To restore my email and contacts, do I just copy .pst file back into my
system after I reinstall?

Thank you.

The pst file contains ALL your Outlook data - mail, contacts, calendar,
tasks, and journal except the email account information

Yes, but with caveats.

Do NOT paste the copied pst file into the default location - paste into (for
example) your Documents folder and then do File-Open-Outlook Data File
within Outlook.

Ignore the information on exporting and importing - it is not correct and
will cause problems with the data.
