Outlook - Hyperlinks with "friendly name" possible?

I seem to remember at some point knowing how to input a link in
outlook similar to how email addresses show up sometimes (or as in
hyperlink code in Excel).  In Outlook emails, sometimes you see


And in Excel hyperlinking, you will have this syntax:

It would be helpful to know how to do this in Outlook once and for all
so that when we send long links in Outlook we can use this type of
format instead:

URL","Intranet Report Link">

Anyone know what the syntax would be in an Outlook body of message for
this type of URL display?  The above is just an example, of course,
I'd like to know how to do it.

p.s., not to be confused with simple case of changing message format
to html and choosing insert hyperlink.  RTF accepts simple hyperlinks,
too.  What is needed is to show long URLs by a short "friendly name"
and I am pretty sure it can be done in Outlook, I just cannot for the
life of me remember how.

p.s., think it is not clear, but so that output is a friendly name
instead of the very long URL and so we if we see an underlined
hyperlink showing just the friendly name vs. the long url.

Type a word, select the word, ctrl-alt-H insert the url.

I am using Outlook 2003 and the Ctrl+Alt+H did not do anything at
first.  Then I thought, wait a minute, stands to reason that since my
default is RTF, that I have to change format of email to HTML.  Did
that.  Ctrl+Alt+H still did not work but I found an INSERT >
HYPERLINK... in the pulldowns when in HTML mode.  I then had to ensure
that in the Hyperlink box that popped up, that the type of link chosen
is, indeed, http: and that I had to leave the http:// text in the URL
box there and tack on the address afterwards.

No way to test with unsent message but since I was sending to myself,
it worked.  I tested it with word "SearchEngine" and "http://
www.google.com" in the URL portion of the Hyperlink box.

Thanks for this!  The shortcut keys might not have worked, but at
least the menu pulldown did.
